Thursday, 7 July 2011, 2pm - Level 4, Hall 404
Jointly organised by PUB Singapore, the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association (CWWA) and supported by the High Commission of Canada to Singapore, the coverage of the Americas Business Forum has been broadened in 2011 to cover United States of America, Canada & South America. Participants can look forward to opportunities for business networking, forge business partnerships with companies from Americas, and garner market views & analysis from a spectrum of perspectives. Themed “Share insights on the forecast for water industry in Americas in the next 5 years”, the forum’s CEO Roundtable will provide enriching insights into the water market, current challenges, the direction the industry is moving, and the plethora of business opportunities. The Americas Business Forum is distinct in terms of the mix of water markets in the Americas region and the challenges and opportunities it presents. North Americas is a mature market with utilities of global standing and leading industry players that is facing a challenge of infrastructure maintenance and renewal. The water infrastructure gap in the United States is estimated at US$300-US$500 billion. In Canada, compliance with a slew of new regulations is expected to generate C$10-C$13 billion worth of business. On the other hand, the South American market offers development opportunities as the utilities strive to improve water and wastewater infrastructure and service. The Americas Business Forum provides a platform to discuss business opportunities and solutions to address these key issues. The Americas Business Forum 2011 will provide a “sellers-platform” for the first time to cutting-edge North American companies to present on the needs and opportunities for technologies and services in the water market. The forum will also feature, for the first time at SIWW, a prominent speaker from South America to provide a window into the growing market opportunities in South Americas. Participants can look forward to hearing about opportunities and challenges in tapping into the growing South American water industry. These are stellar reflections of the growing significance, relevance, and industry participation in this not-to-be-missed event.
