IDA Fellowship Award Ceremony

The International Desalination Association (IDA) will confer its 2010 Fellowship Awards to two recipients who will undergo an attachment of 6-8 weeks with the Water Corporation and Murdoch University in Australia. The IDA established the Fellowship Award in 2008 to facilitate the advancement of global expertise in desalination and water reuse through the exchange of talents, knowledge and skills. In addition to a monetary award, the program provides recipients with an unprecedented opportunity to spend time with host agencies colleagues in the desalination industry, gaining insights into the host agencies’ operations, strategies and policies, and ultimately exchanging ideas with the global desalination community.

National Research Foundation (NRF) PhD Scholarship Award Ceremony (by invitation only)

The prestigious National Research Foundation (NRF) PhD Scholarship is awarded to youths with the passion and capacity in clean water and clean energy technologies to pursue a PhD in leading universities in Singapore and around the world. This annual award ceremony will witness the presentation of the PhD scholarships to the deserving recipients after highly-selective rounds of screening, tests and interviews. Upon graduation, these individuals will work in Singapore for at least 2 years in a company of his/her choice and contribute to the growing clean water and clean energy research eco-system.

MOU Signing between PUB and Meidensha

PUB will hold a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with Meidensha Corporation during the Singapore International Water Week 2010. This MOU serves as a framework for collaborative partnership between Meidensha and PUB.

IWA 2010 Project Innovation Awards Asia-Pacific Regional Awards Dinner

The Project Innovation Awards (PIA) is a prestigious global competition which is held once every two years to recognize and celebrate innovation and excellence in water engineering projects around the world. Under this Awards, submitted project entries first compete in regional heats in four different regions (the Asia-Pacific, East Asia, Europe and North America), and the winners and honor awardees of the regional heats will then advance to the global competition to compete for the Grand Prizes which will be presented at the IWA World Water Congress in Montreal in September 2010.
