Among Boustead Salcon's numerous milestones, we designed and constructed eight seawater desalination plants across Asia including Singapore's first seawater desalination plant, which is located at Senoko Power Station. We are nearing the completion of a 20,000 cu m/day seawater desalination plant for Toshiba at the Tanjung Jati B Power Plant in Indonesia. In addition, we successfully delivered a global landmark project, the 55,000 cu m/day Phase II Expansion of Bedok NEWater factory utilising the world's first commercial 16-inch reverse osmosis membranes.

Currently, Boustead Salcon is undertaking several projects at Tuas Power's Tembusu Multi-Utilities Complex in Singapore including a 1,800 cu m/day reverse osmosis raw water treatment facility, 6,000 cu m/day return condensate treatment facility and 17,280 cu m/day demineralisation plant for the production of high grade pure water. The demineralisation plant is being delivered together with sister company, Boustead Projects Pte Ltd in a synergistic partnership.

Outside of Singapore, Boustead Salcon is delivering water and wastewater treatment plants for PetroVietnam's Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant in Vietnam. We are also undertaking the design and construction of a 27,700 cu m/day new water recycling plant in Abu Dhabi, the first of its kind in the whole of the UAE. The new water recycling plant will be able to recycle and recover as much as 95 percent of the treated sewage effluent supplied for agricultural irrigation and horticultural landscaping – a robust solution for a region with water scarcity issues.
