Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd had been established in 1933 as Japan’s first manufacturer of rayon staple fibers. In the 1940s we launched a methyl methacrylate (MMA) and acrylic resins business, which is our core business today. And we have expanded our business into the field of synthetic resin, synthetic fibers, carbon fibers, optical fibers and hollow fiber membranes, which based on our proprietary polymer technologies. And In fiscal 2010, Mitsubishi Rayon had joined Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation Group.

Mitsubishi Rayon provides a wide range of hollow fiber membrane products "STERAPORE" to serve a variety of industrial and municipal water treatment applications.
Today, Membrane Bio-Reactor (MBR) technology is attracting global attention as a new water treatment technology for preserving limited water resources and protecting the Earth’s precious water environment.
MBR systems that use our STERAPORE have been earning high marks for improving water quality after treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater, as adopted in miscellaneous water recycling plants. More than 3,000 such systems have already been installed in Japan and overseas.

Our business activities are governed by corporate philosophy “Best Quality for a Better Life”. In line with our mission of manufacturing products that help realize a better life for all, we will work to ensure that the Mitsubishi Rayon Group continues to enjoy the trust of society at large.
