PUB, the national water agency, invites you to the launch of the ABC Waters Certification by Guest-of-Honour Dr Amy Khor, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.

The Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) programme is a long-term initiative which transforms Singapore’s reservoirs and waterways into vibrant, aesthetically-pleasing and pristine streams, rivers and lakes. This forms new community spaces bustling with life and activities, bringing people closer to the water, and creating a City of Gardens and Water.

At the Singapore International Water Week last year, the ABC Waters Design Guidelines was launched to share with private and public sectors how ABC Waters Design features can be integrated into the urban environment. As a follow-up, PUB has initiated the ABC Waters Certification scheme to encourage and recognise organisations for their efforts in incorporating these features in a holistic manner in their developments thereby contributing to cleaner waters and a more sustainable way of living.

Prior to the launch, Mr Yap Kheng Guan, Director, 3P Network, will give a brief overview on the ABC Waters concept and certification, as well as the strategic intent behind this programme. There will also be site visits to two completed projects that have been awarded ABC Waters certification after launch.

2.00 pm - Arrival of GOH; Certification begins

3.00 pm - Visits to certified project sites after end of certification
