Networking event of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and official launch of the Netherlands Water House (by invitation only)
During the SIWW 2010 the Embassy will host a networking event on Wednesday June 30 for which 130 invitations will be sent out to relevant parties. During this event the Netherlands Water House, a representative office of the Netherlands Water Partnership, will be officially launched.

The Netherlands Water House, an initiative of the Dutch Water Sector already active in Singapore and South-East Asia, was set up in March 2010. The NWH seeks to address today’s challenges in the region by combining Dutch expertise and experience at all levels to provide innovative solutions to meet the demand for more efficient, reliable and safe water management. Her mission is to stimulate, promote and facilitate expansion of the Dutch water sector in the ASEAN region and she aims to strengthen the position of the Netherlands as a leading nation for water related solutions.

The networking event with the launch of the NWH will take place on June the 30th from 17.00 to 19.00 hours at the Green Atlantic Room at Suntec City.  Next to the invited guests from Singapore, the Netherlands and the region, attendees will include members of the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, from the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Waterworks and a delegate from the Board of the Netherlands Water Partnership will be present.

Alliance for Water Stewardship Luncheon
Date: 01 July 2010 (Thursday)
Time: 12.00pm - 2.30pm
Venue: Ocean 6 Ball Room, Pan Pacific Hotel

The Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), currently made up of 8 international organizations (Water Environment Federation, World Wildlife Fund, Pacific Institute, The Nature Conservancy, Water Witness International, Water Stewardship Australia, European Water Partnership, and the International Water Management Institute), is building a global water stewardship program that will recognize and reward large water users and managers--businesses and water service providers--who meet new water stewardship standards established through the AWS’s multi-year stakeholder engagement work: a global water roundtable and continent-level regional water stewardship initiatives. AWS will be holding a luncheon during SIWW on 1 July (Thursday) to reach out to relevant stakeholders who are attending SIWW on the AWS Global Water Stewardship Program.

Please contact AWS Secretariat Jonathan Kaledin (jkaledin@tnc.org; phone: +1-518-441-9408) if you are interested in attending this by- invitation only lunch.
