Wednesday, 6 July 2011, 2.00pm - Level 4, Hall 401 The Southeast Asia Business Forum in 2010 drew together 400 delegates, leaders and professionals in the field of water. The Southeast Asia Business Forum 2011 is jointly-organised by SWA, ADB and PUB as part of SIWW to achieve the following objectives: | • | To provide a platform for the public sector or government leaders to update their counterparts on the water situation of their respective countries | | • | To enable the public and private sector gain a better understanding of each other’s needs | | • | To provide a “buyer-seller” matching opportunity for water-related projects in Southeast Asia | The Southeast Asia Business Forum is targeted at participants from government (Ministers & senior government officials), industry and research institutions/international organisations. A select group of forum speakers, including Southeast Asian Minister and government leaders responsible for the development and management of water supply and resources, as well as representatives of water companies, will address the water situation and business opportunities of the SEA water market and provide participants with valuable insights into the region.

 | The Singapore Business Federation is the apex business chamber that champions the interests of the Singapore business community in trade, investment and industrial relations. It represents more than 15,000 companies as well as the local and foreign business chambers and key national and industry associations from business sectors that contribute significantly to the Singapore economy. Nationally, SBF acts as the bridge between the government and businesses in Singapore to create and enhance a pro- business environment. ASEAN Business Group The ASEAN Business Group (ABG) is a high level B2B and B4B business networking platform aimed at serving the needs of member companies of the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and the wider business community through value-added information exchanges and services. Aims of ABG: - Enhance trade and economic linkages between Singapore and ASEAN member countries
- Develop and promote networking between Singapore companies and their ASEAN counterparts as well as relevant government agencies and organisations in the ASEAN member countries.
- Help SBF members channel their feedback and views to relevant government bodies and facilitate their business deals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the respective ASEAN markets. SBF ABG will facilitate as a deal maker and catalyst for businesses between Singapore, ASEAN countries and other countries in China, the Middle East and South Asia through various platforms including e-links.
- Facilitate and support SBF members who are interested in doing business with the ASEAN member countries.
- Position SBF as the first stop for ASEAN member country organizations who wish to do business with Singapore firms.
www.sbf.org.sg |  | The Southeast Asian Water Utilities Network (SEAWUN) is a regional network of water utilities from Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. It was founded by 12 utilities in 2002, and today it has a membership base of 86 utilities providing water and sanitation services in 7 countries. In addition, the network has a small number of associating members which are water related consulting companies manufacturers and suppliers. The network provides its members with a framework for developing their capacity and expanding their knowledge through training programs, structured learning from peers, and exchange of information and experiences. SEAWUN and its member utilities are committed to continuously improve their service coverage and delivery, financial sustainability, and other aspects of their performance.
