National Environment Quiz at Nan Hua High School |
An annual event since 2003, the National Environment Quiz aims to create environmental awareness amongst primary school students. Primary Five and Six pupils learn to protect and care for the environment through interactive games and quizzes which focuses on four environmental themes – Air, Land, Water and Public Health. A recipient of the Watermark Award in 2009 and the 2010 President's Award for the Environment, Nan Hua High School hopes that through this annual event the importance to protect our environment will resonate with the younger generations.

Keppel Club Earth Week 2011 |
In conjunction with Singapore International Water Week 2011, Keppel Club is celebrating the "International Year of the Forest" with an exhibition. Themed "Greening Today for Tomorrow", the exhibition will transport you on a journey of futuristic fantasy that illustrates eco solutions for the next generation. The unique exhibition, constructed with recycled materials, also includes a floating wetland built from different recyclable items. You can also embark on a journey at the Berlayer Creek, one of Singapore's best preserved and oldest seawater mangrove. Over a century old, the mangrove's rich biodiversity presents nature at its best within the hustle and bustle of Singapore's city life. The Berlayer Creek rests in the vicinity of Keppel Club's golf property and its management has taken ownership to conserve this precious piece of Singapore's heritage. Primary School Water Festival |
| This event showcases interactive games on water developed by students for students. With the help of their teachers, these students spent months to brainstorm and put together games to teach others on the importance of conserving, valuing and enjoying water. Twelve finalists along with their respective games will be on display and guests will be treated to a multi-sensory half day of learning with the primary school students. The Primary School Water festival serves as a testament to the importance of 3P (People, Private, Public) partnership. |

Organised by Fuhua Primary School and sponsored by Senoko Energy Pte Ltd with support from PUB, the competition garners involvement from more students and teachers to impart the knowledge of Singapore's Four National Taps and the importance of "Conserve, Value and Enjoy". In addition, Fuhua Primary School is launching a new game on NEWater, Singapore's own brand of high-grade reclaimed water. Constructed Treatment Wetland at Commonwealth Secondary School |
Learn more about Commonwealth Secondary School's water programme. The school converted its pond into a constructed treatment wetland to recycle used water which is subsequently channelled for watering vegetation for their urban agriculture project. Also an adopter of the Pandan Reservoir, Commonwealth Secondary School also collaborates with PUB, Singapore's national water agency, Sony Electronics (Singapore) and EnviroPro to build floating wetlands and provides its students with further exposure in the sciences behind wetlands. This Water Showcase, led by Green Ambassadors from the school's environment club will share the interesting facts of wetlands, its importance and benefits through an enriching guided programme. A winner of the Watermark Award and the President's Award for the Environment, Commonwealth Secondary School takes the lead in encouraging stakeholders to take greater ownership of our waters and the environment. |

An adopter of MacRitchie Reservoir and partner of the Active, Beautiful, Clean (ABC) Waters Learning Trail @ MacRitchie, Hwa Chong Institution is conducting a training workshop for students as facilitators for this ABC Waters Learning Trail. This showcase aims to inspire and empower our youths to advocate the water cause, as they appreciate the unique heritage, biodiversity, ABC Waters design features, water quality and water management at MacRitchie Reservoir. About the Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters Programme The Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) Programme seeks to transform these utilitarian drains, canals and reservoirs into beautiful and clean streams, rivers and lakes. The aim is to create a seamless blue-green network which is well integrated with the adjacent land developments thereby creating new community spaces and encouraging new lifestyle activities to flourish in and around the waters. The vision is to transform Singapore into a vibrant City of Gardens and Water. |

Nature Walk-cum-Birdwatching at Kranji Marshes with Nature Society Singapore |
Immerse in the sights and sounds of nature at the scenic Kranji Reservoir through a guided walk. Its wetlands are one of the island's last remaining enclaves of freshwater marshes, and home to endangered bird species. Avid bird enthusiasts will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of birds such as Red-wattled Lapwing, Purple Swamphen, Rusty-breasted Cuckoo, White-browed Crake, Changeable Hawk Eagle, Grey-headed Fish Eagle and more. Experience this nature trail and learn more about the biodiversity of the Kranji marshes from members of Nature Society Singapore, an adopter of Kranji Reservoir. |

Sengkang Floating Wetland Guided Walk with Pei Hwa Secondary School |
Join a guided walk at the Sengkang Floating Wetland - the largest floating wetland in Singapore that measures up to half the size of a football field. Conducted by students of Pei Hwa Secondary School, participants can explore the picturesque wetland and soak in the rustic surroundings of Punggol Reservoir during the guided walk.
