Course on Water Supply Network Management
SIWW 2020 will have a strong focus on smart utilities, including smart water supply networks.
In the lead-up to the event, the Singapore Water Academy (established by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency), will be organising a five-day Water Supply Network Management course from 13 to 17 January 2020.
Part of the Academy’s flagship Singapore Water Management Series, this course provides an in-depth understanding of key topics on urban water supply network management such as:
- Water safety in distribution systems
- Strategies to manage and reduce non-revenue water
- Sustainable network asset renewal and management
- Real-time monitoring and the development of smart water grids
- Water conservation and customer engagement strategies
The course will be taught by leading local and international practitioners, including Mr Abelardo P. Basilio (Chief Operating Officer, Manila Water Operations, Manila Water Company Inc.),
Mr François Figueres (Advanced Water Networks Senior Expert, Suez), Mr Chan Yoon Kum (Senior Consultant, PUB), and Mr Chong Hou Chun (Senior Consultant for Water Supply (Network) Department, PUB) to name a few.
