Wilfred Appelman is a chemical engineer, specialized in membrane- and water technology, with over 20 years experience on technology R&D projects on water, energy and circular economy projects. From 2018 Wilfred is expertise leader of the group Separation and Purification, part of the research group Bioconversion at Wageningen Food and Biobased Research (WFBR, part of Wageningen University and Research) and working on developing processes and technologies for Down Stream Processing and Biorefinery as well as water treatment.
