About

Only for the cohort of young water leaders under the programme

A signature programme of the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW), the Young Water Leaders Programme (YWLP) (previously Young Water Leaders Summit) – launched at SIWW2022 – is a two-year immersive leadership programme for next-generation global water utility leaders, sponsored by AECOM. It provides once-in-a-lifetime exposure and opportunities for outstanding young water leaders to participate in discussions on key water issues, facilitate learning outcomes, gain valuable knowledge from water experts, and network with fellow peers.

At the upcoming SIWW Spotlight 2023, the exclusive cohort of 16 young water leaders, with diversity in geographical location, gender, and sector representation will be participating in sharing sessions and thematic breakout discussions on the three themes – sustainability, innovation and digitalisation. The breakout discussion will be facilitated by resource persons from PUB and AECOM, who will share their perspectives and examples of initiatives that they have undertaken. The session will be followed by a closing dialogue session with Mr Chua Soon Guan, Deputy Chief Executive (Policy & Development), PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency.

The YWLP is aimed at transforming and equipping future water leaders to become effective catalysts of continuous change in their home country and beyond.
