Deputy Project Manager of South Development and Sustainable Lantau Office, Hong Kong SAR

Mr Raymond IP is a chartered civil engineer who is currently the Deputy Project Manager in Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD). After graduating from the University of Hong Kong in 1998, Mr IP joined the Government as a Civil Engineering Graduate. Since then, he has gained more than 25 years of practical experience of managing engineering projects in different departments and bureau.

Over the years, he was actively involved in various large-scale infrastructure projects including Penny’s Bay Development, Liantang/Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point and Enhancing Land Supply Strategy. He also obtained a master’s degree in Maritime Engineering from the University of Liverpool in 2009. After re-joining CEDD in 2020, Mr IP steers his Branch to spearhead the Study on Kau Yi Chau Artificial Islands, oversee the reclamation and infrastructure works under the Tung Chung New Town Extension, and undertake various eco-recreation and conservation projects on the Lantau Island.
