Patrick Blethon has served as Executive Chairman of the Saur Group since January 2020. Under his leadership, the company has accelerated its international expansion, strengthened its financial foundations, and positioned water at the heart of climate action through the #MissionWater strategic framework.
Patrick began his career at United Technologies Corporation in 1991, joining Otis France, where he successively held management positions in new-equipment operations and service sales. In 2005, he was appointed Director of New Equipment Operations and Marketing for Otis France. The following year, he became Area Director for Eastern Europe and Managing Director for Russia, before being promoted to Vice President, Strategy & Business Development at Otis global headquarters in 2009.
In 2012, Patrick was named President of the Pacific Asia Area for Otis Elevator Company and, in 2013, President of South Asia Pacific for UTC Building & Industrial Systems, overseeing the Otis, Carrier, and Fire & Security businesses across India, Southeast Asia, and Australasia. Based in Singapore until 2015, he developed deep knowledge of Asian markets and multicultural organizations.
He later served as President of Building & Industrial Systems for Europe and as President of Otis EMEA, managing operations in 45 countries and leading major transformation and growth programs across the region.
Patrick Blethon holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, with concentrations in Economics, Management, and Human Resources, from the École Supérieure de Dirigeants d’Entreprise (ESDE) in Paris.
In 2014, he was appointed Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit) by the French government in recognition of his contribution to industry and international leadership.
As Executive Chairman, Patrick defines the Group’s long-term vision and strategy — combining purpose, performance, and impact. He champions Saur’s ambition to “give back to water the value it deserves,” ensuring that the company remains a purpose-driven, profitable, and pioneering leader in sustainable water management worldwide.
