Presentation Synopsis

Through Space & Time: The Digital Foundation of Coastal Resilience
With a focus on the UK, Adam will introduce the data and analytics at the heart of policy, strategy, and delivery of coastal risk management. From National Scale assessments of flooding and erosion hazards and the resulting risks, to site specific design and operations of coastal protection assets -- an investment in data, robust analysis, and actionable insights -- lays the foundation for coastal resilience. Adam’s presentation will draw from Jacobs’ projects in support of national coastal programmes and will cover the data and analytics supporting resilience outcomes. These range from national policy on property level resilience, to innovative STEM engagement for education, to the operation and maintenance of the Thames Barrier, which is part of the world-leading Thames Estuary Asset Management 2100 programme.
