Biography

Mr Richard Pamenter is Vice President, Global Head of Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability for GSK and leads development of GSK’s environmental sustainability strategy. He has 30 years’ experience in GSK having previously held senior roles as Global Head of Engineering & EHS for Manufacturing and as Site Director at an Antibiotics factory in Northern England. Earlier in his GSK career Richard worked in a wide range of roles in our Primary / Chemical Manufacturing Operations.
Before joining GSK, Richard worked for Shell International as a Process Engineer in upstream Oil and Gas.
He graduated from Nottingham University in 1985 with Masters in Chemical Engineering and also has a Masters in Manufacturing Leadership from Cambridge University. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
