Koji Tensaka


Koji Tensaka joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in April 1990 and was assigned to the Bureau of Sewerage. He has accumulated extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, and construction of sewerage facilities, contributing to the stable management of urban infrastructure.

In 2017, he served as Director of the Floodgate Management Division at the Koto River Improvement Office, Bureau of Construction, where he engaged in flood and storm surge countermeasures. He subsequently held key positions including Director of the Equipment Construction Division, No. 2 Core Facilities Reconstruction Office; Director of Sunamachi Water Reclamation Center; and Director of the Coordination Division, Sewerage Service Facilities Department, overseeing large-scale facility operations and the reconstruction of aging infrastructure.

He currently serves as Director for New Energy Project Promotion, Bureau of Sewerage, promoting the introduction of solar power systems and advancing DX initiatives utilizing data, AI, and IoT.
