Ir CHAN Chi Ho, Johnny

Ir CHAN is currently formulating works policies and overseeing their implementation in relation to the flood and shoreline management integrated strategy, water resources and supply, slope safety, infrastructure resilience to climate change, adoption of BIM technology, construction safety, construction materials and green procurement, construction industry security of payment.  He also oversees major infrastructure projects, including drainage tunnels, stormwater storage schemes, Yuen Long Barrage, river revitalization, Sha Tin Cavern Sewage Treatment Works, Kai Tak Development, Sustainable Lantau Blueprint, Pier Improvement Programme, etc.

He is a Hong Kong, Mainland China and the United Kingdom qualified civil engineer by profession with over 25 years in public infrastructure development including 11 years in delivery of the mega project of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.  After graduation from the University of Hong Kong in 1997, he obtained a postgraduate diploma in arbitration.  In 2011, he was nominated as the Fellow of International Road Federation (being official partner and holding consultative status with the UN) and presented with the Jerry Shea Leadership Awardee cum Fellowship Class President in Washington DC, USA, and also completed his MSc (Engineering) with full GPA in the University of Florida.
