Alexis Taylor works for the Bureau of Flood Resilience Design & Engineering at the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. She is Urban Design Team Lead for the Hudson River and Meadowlands Rebuild by Design projects. She is also project managing the National Disaster Recovery (NDR) grant, specifically focused on developing a statewide Resiliency Toolkit. Prior to her time at NJDEP, Ms. Taylor was with Rebuild by Design as a Senior Project Manager where she worked to catalyze innovative design solutions that address the potential impacts from climate change on the Sandy-affected areas of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. She graduated with her B.A. from University of Pennsylvania and went on to earn a Master of City Planning (MCP) degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She currently serves as a Commissioner of the Planning Board in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
