Mr Uri Raich


Senior Urban Specialist, The World Bank (South Asia)


Biography


Uri is a Senior Urban Specialist in the South Asia Region of the World Bank, with over 13 years of World Bank experience in the Africa and South East Asia Regions. His areas of expertise are municipal finance and urban planning. At the moment he is based in Singapore and leads a number of urban operational and analytical initiatives in India. He has a number of publications in and outside the Bank, including his book Unequal Development: Decentralization and Metropolitan Finance in Mexico City, (VDM Verlag Dr. Mueller, 2008). He holds an MSc in Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
